It's June 17, approximately 11 weeks before college football kicks off for the 2009 season. College basketball should be the furthest thing from our mind at Clemson this time of year, however Oliver Purnell has somehow changed the culture of Clemson athletics. No, it's not a drastic overhaul, and college football is still king in Clemson, SC. Yet, basketball is at least on the radar in Clemson today, but why you ask? Well, cbs.sportsline.com announced their Preseason Top 25 today...and well quite frankly there's nothing else to talk about. Clemson was listed 14th in the nation, that's high praise for a team that lost Oglesby, Rivers, and Sykes. However, Purnell and his staff has recruited well and has built a solid foundation for many years to come. Let's hope he lives up to the hype this year, and takes the Tigers a little deeper in the NCAA this time around.
